The outgoing administration of Governor Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar in Bauchi State has left the state with a debt of 137 billion naira.

The chairman of the transition Commitee, Senator Adamu Ibrahim Gumba announced this while presenting the report of the committee to the State Governor elect Senator Bala Muhammad held at Command Guest Inn Bauchi.

He informed the governor elect that some Ministries, Departments and Agencies notably Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board and BAGIS have denied the committee the required documents and called on him to look into it.

Senator Adamu Gumba however requested the governor elect to review the twenty nineteen budget so as to incorporate the projects and programmes in line with People’s Democratic Party manifesto.

Receiving the report, the Bauchi State Governor elect Senator Bala Muhammad said Asset Recovery Commitee would be constituted as part of efforts to work on the recommendations made by the Commitee.

Senator Bala Muhammad who applauded members of the committee for the maturity exhibited in the discharge of their assignment, expressed concern for the non support given to them by some MDA’s.
