A member of All Progressives Congress (APC) membership registration and revalidation exercise for Anambra State, Hon. Muhammed Garba Gololo, says the exercise will be free and fair to position the party in Anambra State for better dividends in 2023.
Speaking to our correspondent, Gololo said: “The membership registration and revalidation committee will not allow any person or group no matter how powerful and influential to hijack the exercise for any reason in Anambra State“We shall not allow and tolerate any injustice and we shall carry out the exercise strictly in accordance to the rules as directed by the party national leadership without fear or favor.
Our goal is to reposition the party in Anambra State and the entire, South-east geo-political zone against 2023”.Gololo appealed to those saddled with the registration and revalidation exercise within the local governments in Anambra State to resist all temptations and not to succumb to the antics of those who may want them to do their selfish bidding that may lead to breakdown of law and order.
“We are aware of the fact that few of our members in Anambra State have left the party as others have joined and in need of registration to be legitimate members of our great party. We will ensure that no one is left behind or denied enjoying his right to membership.
Speaking on his expectation on the registration and revalidation exercise in his native Bauchi State, Gololo said: “APC is the majority party in my state that cannot be doubted. We all know of what happened in the 2019 gubernatorial election that denied us our victory.
We have since learnt our mistake and we shall prove our numerical strength in 2023. I have no doubt of a free and fair exercise in my state because 70percent of INEC registered voters are our members”.
Gololo appealed for cooperation and understanding for a hitch free exercise nationwide and commended the Maimala Buni national committee for piloting the affairs of the party with decorum.
