 Emergency on Education: Gov Buni to grant International Scholarship to Yobe indigenes
In fulfilment of his inauguration speech and after declaring a state of emergency in Yobe’s education sector, Governor Mai Mala Buni has concluded arrangements to sponsor indigenous students of the less privileged to three foreign countries.
DESERT HERALD can confirmed that the Yobe State Scholarship Board has released the details of the government sponsored scholarship. According to the statement which was approved by Governor Buni, the state will sponsored its qualified students to China, Turkey and Tajikistan. Post Graduate students including those with MSC, MA, PhD in Medicine, Para-Medicine, Engineering, Computer Science and Programming, Education, Agricultural Science and courses in Social and Management Sciences will be sponsored by the state for their further studies.
Also, undergraduate students that will pursue courses Medicine, Engineering, Computer Science and Programming, Education, Agricultural Science and courses in Social and Management Sciences will receive full scholarship from the Buni administration to study in any of the three countries. 
The state said interested applicants should apply from 20th to 27th June, 2019.
With this welcoming development Governor Buni is set to reposition and revive Yobe’s ailing education sector.
