 JGSG Releases N719m for Scholarship

JIGAWA State Government have paid over 719 million naira as scholarship allowance to students studying in the country and abroad this financial year.

 

The acting Executive Secretary of the State Scholarship Board, Alhaji Kamilu Ado Ringim made this known while reviewing year 2020 achievements of the board.

He said out of the amount, 477 million naira was paid to students studying abroad while 242million naira was spent on students studying in the country.

Alhaji Kamilu Ado said the board has paid scholarship allowances to new and old students of 2016/2017 academic session.

He said over eleven million naira was released by the state government to the board for the payment of registration fee to 22 law students.

The Executive Secretary said the board will commence interview for 2017/2018 academic session with students of College of Education, Gumel and College of Education and Legal Studies, Ringim this week.

He commended the state Commissioner for Education, Dr Lawan Yunusa Danzomo for the support and cooperation given to the board at all time.
