Latest: Another milestone for Gov Buni as Ebonyi Gov, David Umahi, Dumps PDP, Defects To APC

In what political pundits describe as another major milestone for the Caretaker National Chairman of the APC, Gov Mai Mala Buni, the Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has dumped the party that brought him to power and political limelight, PDP. DESERT HERALD reports that Gov Umahi announced his formal defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday.

The governor’s defection comes after weeks of speculation that he had taken the decision to dump the opposition party for the ruling party.
One of the reasons given by the governor for his defection is that the South East region has suffered what he describes as injustice in the PDP.
