LOCAL GOVERNMENT POLL:Gov Bala Joins Citizens To Cast His Vote

As part of his campaign promise to conduct local Government election that was lastly conducted in 2008, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed together with the State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed performed their civil duty to cast their votes at his polling unit in Central Primary School in Duguri District of Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking with journalists shortly after casting his vote, Governor Bala said conducting the Local Government elections is to ensure adherence to the rule of law and in compliance with his campaign promises.

He said the election is going on smoothly and peacefully and commended people of the state for their compliance to electoral guidelines in the process.

He expressed confidence that candidates of the People’s Democratic Party will emerge victorious in the outcome of the election considering the performance of his administration.

The Governor said his administration allowed management of the State Independent Electoral Commission whom they were appointed by his predecessor to conduct the councils polls without interference so that it would be conducted peacefully and adherence to electoral guidelines.

Governor Bala used the medium to call on those to emerge winners of the election to join hands with his administration in providing basic social aminities to citizens.

With this local Government election conducted, citizens of Bauchi state can beat up their chest to thank GOV Bala Mohamed for the exercise.
