Mahdi Shehu Denies Snake Attack at Police Headquarters
…Says Story Was Sponsored by Katsina Govt
By DESERT HERALD
In yet another desperation allegedly by the Katsina State Government, a story of snake attack against Kaduna based business mogul, Mahdi Shehu was published in a local medium owned by the state government. In the said report, the paper claimed that Mr Mahdi was at the Luis Edit Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force, Abuja where he went with his son, Abba on the invitation of the Police.
The report further stated that the owner of the Dialogue Group of Companies was attack by a misterious snake after excusing himself to urinate and was rushed to the National Hospital on emergency.
But in a telephone conversation with DESERT HERALD on Thursday morning, Mr. Mahdi who sounds strong and healthy denied the report and said nothing like that has ever happened. He said it is yet again another desperation by the Katsina State Government to spread fake news against him after several failures in the past to harm him.
The former newspaper columnist told this paper that he is healthy and that no amount of intimidation, blackmail or the use of the media to spread damaging fabrications and falsehood by the government of Governor Aminu Bello Masari will distract him from ensuring that justice is done to the people of his home state of Katsina.
Mahdi lamented that Governor Masari remains the worse and most corrupt governor in the entire North and that looting and diversion of public resources under him is unprecedented in the history of the state. He urges members of the public to follow his updates for exclusives on corruption in his state.
Efforts by DESERT HERALD to speak to the Katsina SSG who is at the centre of Mahdi’s allegations was not successful as several phone calls to his mobile number went unanswered.
