 Provide alternative to organic urea, Fintiri charges chemical society of Nigeria

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has charged the chemical society of Nigeria to intensify research in order to provide a credible alternative to organic urea in order to boost farming especially in the north east.

The governor made the charge when officials of the chemical society of Nigeria paid him a courtesy call preparatory to their 45th national conference in Adamawa State.

Recall that in the wake of intensified insurgency in the north east, the federal government has banned the sale of organic urea which is a potent ingredient used in the production of explosives.

As a result of that, farming in the north east suffered serious setback following the non availability of the commodity.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who welcomes them to the land of beauty said the security architecture of the state is well fashioned in a manner that will guarantee the success of their conference.

Acknowledging the importance of the chemists to the nation, Governor Fintiri says Adamawa is home to them, assuring of his support and cooperation.

Earlier, the National Chairman of the Chemical Society of Nigeria, Professor Nkem Moses commended the governor for his giant strides in infrastructure and other developmental areas.

He says after a familiarization walk within the state capital, they have noticed the glittering outstanding performance of governance and the level of security reports at their disposal is encouraging.
