The Trajectory Service Display of Gov. Bala Muhammed

The grand conspiracy, frustration and desperate attempt to de-construct and indeed, de-mystify the Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala A. Muhammed by his detractors garbed in political attire, is to say the least for a hidden agenda against giant strides, personality and the people of Bauchi State tailored to 2023 which remains laughable, fruitless, infantile and ridiculous.

Issues should not be joined with hired agents and claimed advocates for Good Governance determined to mess-up the reputation of an accomplished personality, committed leader on a mission to catapult the socio-economic development of Bauchi state to a higher pedestal for posterity.

In a clear case of political madness and greed to twist facts for whatever reason not far from ridicule, humiliation and intimidation as the trademark of those behind the crime speaks, the directionless jobbers managed by hidden masquerades, supposedly a coalition on a wild hunting expedition, had the audacity to display gross mischief against the need for Bauchi State to have a befitting Governor’s lodge, office and liaison office in Abuja and the upgrade of the present Bauchi State Government House that bears the look of an abandoned colonial facility at N6.1billion as captured in the 2021 budget estimate.

Since the news of the renovation of the dilapidated structures was made public, several publications laced with blatant lies in some compromised online newspapers made it a duty to support the obnoxious trade and trumpet lies to please their sponsored maroons.

The unfortunate and mendacious opinions against the effort of Governor Bala Muhammed were concocted to suit a political reason as a back-up to fatten the mischief targeted at the people of Bauchi State who have mandated him to govern them for the next four years. For the records, it will be an honor to act of blackmail to reply the sponsors of the mischief. But for the benefit of the reading public, few words are enough to straigthen the records.

Bauchi State was created in 1976 from a glorified local government status. On creation as usual, it lacked most of the basics to commensurate its new status. Past military and civilian governors can testify to that fact. Several efforts were put-in-place by successive governments. The present Government House was once described by an aide to former Ebonyi State Governor, Sam Egwu during a visit as a colonial relic not befitting the status of a State Government House.

The Governor’s official lodge at the nation’s capital has been left at the mercy of dilapidation partly occupied by rodents for over 10 years from over usage, lack of facilities and poor maintenance that yearns for immediate attention which is about to receive that has become a source of mischief for no justifiable reason other than envy and political abracadabra.

It may not be wrong to clear some doubts in the minds of mischief makers that the Sen. Bala Muhammed model of governance is anchored on transparency, probity and service with passion. All contracts awarded, to be awarded as a policy, must pass through Due Process and certified by professionals before award is considered.

Despite the holistic efforts to change the narrative for a better Bauchi State, political turncoats that prefer to live in a world of illusion should understand the simple fact that if not for the failure of successive governments to serve with all honesty, Sen. Bala Muhammed couldn’t have ventured into the rescue mission that crowned him a governor to rescue the state from underdevelopment.

Those who called the shots and caged former governors from accessing realities, hid under the canopy of politics to jubilate which Governor Bala is carefully avoiding to attract him ridicule.

Again, if not for the people’s prayers for salvation, perhaps by July 2019 the state’s ship might have capsized into the vast ocean of socio-economic violence created by the maggots within and outside the government now in desperation to smear the reputation of the illustrious son they envy to hate.

Despite that, today, those desperados are paying those adjudged as transparent servants in coins they never traded for the economic survival of Bauchi State with spurious allegations and mischief usually concocted to tarnish reputation and destroy the tenets of probity and transparency assiduously built.

So, it rankles: It shocks one to the marrow more so because acts of sheer deception and bitter hatred and envy as reflected in some of William Shakespeare’s plays of the 16th century is now playing out in the 21st Century in Bauchi State with uncanny semblances! And what for if not because of transient fame and fortunes. For instance, in the play Macbeth the lead character betrayed King Duncan (to whom he swore an allegiance) by killing him when he was a guest at his home. But why, one may ask? It was an overtly ambitious attempt to gain the crown that Duncan wore. He also betrayed his friend, Banquo, just to retain power and position of being King. Thereafter, he murdered sleep!

But that is Bauchi desperate politicians for you: vacillating like the tropic weather. Yesterday, they pretended to be the most loving and loyal party friends or allies, only because they were in dire need of Bala’s help, most likely to get out of a sticky situation. Today, they have turn coat at the drop of a hat, that is, when the price is right to blackmail those they envy for same patronage.

As the folktales gather momentum, the mischief suddenly developed wings and reached the media in desperation to settle a perceived score. The offence to have warranted the publication remains a mystery to decent minds and real advocates of expected good governance.

In his reaction to the falsehood, a renowned politician, Bappa Aliyu Misau was quick to express shock and wondered aloud why, are respected names attacked and for which purpose? But who are those responsible for the publications desperate to twist facts against a needed service by an innocent person who has over a decade painstakingly contributed enormously to the economic stability of Bauchi state with unblemished record?

Having achieved several feats, out of rare sense of patriotism, it is a crying shame that some individuals, who envy the successes of others are now making attempts to rubbish good images which were built over decades.

It would do those hidden traitors, who, like the Astyanax fish species that blackmail others, now bent on doing Sen. Bala Muhammed to have some moment of sober reflection. They should remember that in the market square of life, it is always honorable and rewarding to be grateful to those who serve with passion and dexterity, instead of turning round to spit on their faces. What is the mistake in an effort to reconstruct and remodel dilapidated structures for spurious publications to sprout? In reality, with or without recession, Bauchi State needs those facilities to be reconstructed and remodeled no matter what. We are ready for the sacrifice associated with the execution of the projects. The Almighty God who created us all is watching as the only ONE to whom vengeance belongs and He will surely take recompense. For, anybody who abuses grace will soon have nothing to eat but grass.
