Yobe Gov, Buni approves establishment of Teacher Training Centre

DESERT HERALD gathered that following the declaration of State of Emergency on Education and submission of interim report by the Technical committee on revitalization of Basic and Secondary Education in the state, Yobe State Governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni has approved the establishment of Teacher Training Centre in Damaturu the state Capital to train and retrain existing Teachers.

The centre this paper learnt will also upgrade the capacity of existing Teachers as well as organising induction programmes for newly recruited Teachers. The new centre will among others and as directed by the governor organise in-house training and improve the capacity of school administrators and quality assurance officers.
