Zulum Takes Humanitarian Assistance To Diffa In Niger Republic

…Enters Damasak To See Refugees

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum was on humanitarian visit to Damasak, the headquarters of Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno state, on Friday.

The Governor entered Damasak from Diffa in Niger Republic. He went to Niger Republic from Abuja on Friday after an official visit there.

In Damasak, he interacted with batches of hitherto refugees who returned from Niger Republic where they domiciled in camps after their dislodgment from their homes by insurgents.

Zulum also inspected newly constructed temporary shelters for over 1000 families who returned home. In both Diffa and Damasak, he distributed cash and material assistance to the IDPs and refugees.

Still in Damasak, the Governor visited the 29 Task Force Brigade of the Nigerian Army where he assured soldiers prosecuting the war against insurgency of more support of the Borno state government.
