Buhari Swears-in Tanko as CJN

President Muhamnadu Buhari on Wednesday Sworn-in Mohammad Tanko as Chief Justice oF Nigeria.
The swearing ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Mohammed took over from the former CJN, Walter Onnoghen, who was suspended by Buhari over false declaration of asset at the Code of Conduct Bureau.
The Nigerian Senate had last week screened and confirmed Tanko as CJN.
Buhari had requested the Red Chamber to confirm Tanko as CJN in his letter to the Senate.
He has been on acting capacity since January 25, 2019.
