GOV BUNI’S SEARCH FOR LASTING SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT IN YOBE
The executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni in continuation of efforts to reposition the state for the attainment of the needed development and lasting security has visited President Muhammadu Buhari today at the Presidential Villa.
DESERT HERALD learnt that the governor who recently assumed office for a four years mandate has been making efforts to reposition the state to the path of growth, development and security. Part of the effort is the visit to the president to brief him on important state matters.
The govenor this paper learnt has also requested for the establishment of an Air Force Base in the state so as to be able to contain possible security challenges. Mala Buni is also set to commence the construction of ultramodern market in Damaturu the state capital. He has reportedly briefed the President about his agricultural revolution plans for the state and it’s teeming jobless youths.
It is expected that Buni will use his vast contact and connection in Abuja to ease and bring developmental projects to the state.
The govenor DESERT HERALD can reveal is making efforts in Abuja to ensure that all federal appointments due for Yobe is given by the President.
Buni is also expected to play a prominent role on who gets ministerial slot in Yobe and that he has vowed to present capable citizens to represent the state at the national level.
